Excuse me….got a minute?

I’d like to talk to you straight from the heart.

Thank goodness you love Labs. While not all of the cases presented to
Labrador Life Line for funding assistance are urgent or life threatening, they
are all heartbreaking. Despite their best intentions, owners can’t always afford
the treatment their best friend needs to get well. These Labs (and their owners)
need some help.

Fortunately these Labs have friends like you. With your help, Labrador Life
Line assists purebred Labrador Retrievers in need of emergency care or medical
treatment whose owners or rescues have a financial need. Our help sometimes
means the difference between life and death.

If there was just one thing you could do to help these Labs in distress, you would,
wouldn’t you?

Color My World

Did you know…contrary to popular belief, dogs aren’t colorblind! In fact, dogs can see in color, just not as well as humans do. While the debate of whether or not Fido sees color may be over, the debate now is which colors they can detect and decipher. A 2008 Psychology Today article reported that, like many humans, dogs tend to be dichromatic (or red-green colorblind.)

What does this all mean?

It means that you may want to buy more blue and yellow toys, and less red and green toys.

Doggie toys, clothes (for humans and dogs), treats, and much, much more will be up for bid soon. Starting on August 31st, Labrador Life Line’s yearly Labour of Love Auction kicks into full gear with all proceeds going to purebred Labs in need of medical care and treatment. More details to come….

Christmas in July

Ho-Ho-Ho!! Because of a secret agreement we have with the big guy in the red suit we can’t tell you who we are. However, what we CAN tell you is this–on July 20th, Labrador Life Line is conducting a very special, one day event only. LLL and Erin Furman of Three Scoops of Vanilla are teaming up to offer their special friends “Christmas in July.”

On July 20th and ONLY on this day, 25% of anything you purchase on her Three Scoops of Vanilla web site will go to LLL and will help Labrador Retrievers in need of medical care and treatment. Additionally, for this special event ONLY, Erin created a custom made LLL bracelet. Not only is it a great stocking stuffer, but a great way to show your support for LLL.

Erin also created a couple of special pieces that will be up for auction on her Three Scoops Of Vanilla Facebook page the day of our event ONLY.  When the auction closes at 5:00pm MDT, the highest bidders can buy the pieces from Erin. 50% of the total from these pieces goes to LLL too!
